Watch as artist, Marie Stephens from Marie Stephens Art paints an oil painting of a yellow lab and a little blond girl in a blue paisley dress.

This painting won the popular vote during the Marie Stephens Art, National Dog Day Photo contest that launched her career as a dog portrait artist. Marie took hundreds of photo submissions and selected her top 10 favorites to paint large scale portraits for her first ever solo gallery showing, that opened on National Dog Day.
The lucky winner received the finished original oil painting, sized 30 inches by 48 inches. The portrait is of the lucky winner's daughter and her canine friend.
