A Champion for Lost Causes

Feeling Nutty?   I guess you could say that I was this week. Both of my children were home, one with a nasty cold, the other had just had some oral surgery done.

Meet Nutty, a Champ for Lost Causes

Needless to say, after 3 days alone with my kids, I begin to need tiny escapes now and then!  This time, the escape landed me in the forest of my mind, where, after examining my pieces of tree bark, (yes, I store updried flowers and tree bark, and all sorts of things every fall...much like a squirrel myself, I suppose!), I began to see a faint resemblance of a fuzzy little squirrel!   Three pieces make all that is "Nutty". One piece is his tail and one hind leg. Another piece is his belly and chest and arms and other foot. The last tiny piece is one of his ears.  After an hour or two of fiddling and arranging the pieces, I mounted them with some acid free glue, and got to work inking in all the details.  After some time, I got my Happy Surprise! Nutty the Squirrel. I hope you enjoy him and that you have time to take in all the little things that might seem like nothing to others, but might hold a world of possibility to someone else!
